1. Who invented Corrugated Box ?
Mr. Robert Gair, invented the corrugated box in 1890.
In the 1870s, he was printing seed bags using a metal ruler, which was normally used to crease bags.

The ruler shifted in position and cut the bags instead of creasing them. Robert Gair realized he could make prefabricated paper boxes by cutting and creasing bags. He also realized he could apply this development to corrugated boxboard (once the material became available).

2. What is corrugated sheet & what is ply?

3. What is a corrugated box?
Box made from corrugated paper sheet is corrugated box; it can be made in different size, shape, quality, as per requirement & specification to meet various types of needs.

4. Is corrugated box best material for boxes?
Corrugated box is lighter, with better surface finish, can be printed, reused and less expensive than alternative materials, such as plastic, wood, and metal—plus it is 100% recyclable. Unlike other types of boxes, corrugated boxes fold flat for storing and shipping, saving you money and floor space. Corrugated is strong enough to stack, resistant to impact and vibration, and it can cushion and protect your products. Thus, it is best as compared to other boxes.

5. How to measure a corrugated box?

Box sizes are measured by using inner dimensions unless otherwise specified. The size of your contents actually determines the inner box dimensions. Domestically (within India), those dimensions are listed in the following sequence: Length (L) x Width (W) x Height (H)*.

Dimensions are based on the opening of an assembled box. Looking at the opening, the longer of the two sides is considered the "length." The shorter of the two sides is the "width." The side perpendicular to the length and width is the "height" of the box.

6. Do I need artwork to have my boxes printed?
Artwork is mandatory. Having artwork helps prevent mistakes. (We can assist you if you don’t have)

7. Can my logo be printed on my boxes?
Yes! We can print your logo and product information directly on boxes.

8. What is tooling?
Tooling usually refers to cutting dies or printing plates required to customize a corrugated box,

9. Can my printing dies be used on multiple sizes?
We prefer a separate set of plates for each box size, especially if the printing varies. Whenever possible, we will optimize their use to create cost efficiencies.

10. Can I change my corrugated packaging to gain greater stacking strength?
Redesigning and re-evaluating is every customer’s need, we can assist you in this. Changes from the current carton design may improve performance. The use of high performance packaging will result in increased stacking strength with lower costs.

11. Do you have a minimum order requirement?
No, we will run any size order. We do have a minimum order size for delivery.

12. Can corrugated boxes be recycled?
Yes, corrugated boxes are recycled to make paper-pulp & paper.
